Orange Zest Artisan Chocolate

Orange Zest Artisan Chocolate is a spirited and boldly flavored bar that demonstrates how a single ingredient — the orange — can transform fine dark chocolate into something truly extraordinary. We use two forms of orange in this bar: first, hand-cut strips of candied Sicilian blood orange peel that are slow-cooked in sugar syrup over three days until perfectly translucent and chewy; and second, a few drops of cold-pressed sweet orange essential oil added to the chocolate mass during conching to infuse every molecule of the bar with a bright, aromatic citrus intensity. Built on our 70% dark chocolate base, the bar has an inherent fruitiness and complexity that marries effortlessly with the orange’s natural terpenes. The result is a bar that is simultaneously bold, fresh, lively, and sophisticated — a classic flavor pairing elevated to artisan status by the quality of ingredients and the care of execution.
